As it stands now, Wizkid,already the C.E.O of Starboy Records, has justone more obligation to fulfil with E.M.E and thatis delivering one more album which should drop ina matter of weeks.Speaking on his relationship with the label thatgroomed and launched him into stardom, he said‘we are still family, we would still continue doingbusiness together, Banky, Tunde and SegunDemuren are all like my big brothers, it’s a familything, so we’ll definitely keep doing business.’When asked how soon he’ll quit the label, Wizkidexplained: ‘I’ve been with E.M.E for 5 years, so Idon’t know what soon is, because when we startedthe whole Empire entertainment thing, it was tobuild an empire so everyone could grow, Skales isdoing his thing, Banky is doing his thing too, wegot Shaydee and Niyola, I got Starboy going on,so everyone is just trying to expand and grow atthe end of the day.’The singer had unsuccessfully tried to leave thelabel in 2012, causing huge media and legal dramathat saw him do the right thing: stay back.Interestingly, he also confirms that his debut onhis own Starboy imprint will drop by December2014 as well.
