Sounds of Afrobeats is an entertainment show that chronicles the journey of Afrobeats genre and African Pop Culture with interviews, exclusive access and behind the scenes footage of some of Africa’s biggest and emerging acts. The eight part series showcases the best of African Entertainment with music, comedy, interviews and exclusive footage from around the world.


This season follows P Square, one of Africa’s most enigmatic, euphoric and popular groups. P Square has solidified their name through sold-out tours in arenas and stadiums in African countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Zimbabwe and many more. In this series we see why they are one of the best.


The series also follows Wizkid, the most exciting prospect of 2011 who has broken every record in the African music industry to date with the release of his debut album ‘Superstar’ on 12th June 2011 The album has reportedly sold in excess of 1.5 million album to date. Added to the line up is also Ice Prince, the latest rapper to enter the Afrobeats scene. Ice Prince has dominated with his unique and infectious rapping style which will be portrayed in the show with exclusive performance clips and backstage access to his shows. We get to see exclusively why his new album is titled ‘ELI’……”Everybody Loves Ice Prince”.


In the series we see the biggest album launch concert ever held for a debut artist in the history of Nigerian music and Wizkid also takes us on a tour of Square’s multi million dollars mansion ‘Squareville’.

The Sounds of Afrobeats also includes highlights from one of Africa’s best comics Basketmouth and exclusive interviews with DJ Abrantee at the world famous Choice FM studio on the rise of Afrobeats.

The Sounds of Afrobeats will be broadcasted on multiple TV stations in the UK on BEN TV, OHTV and Nigeria broadcast dates to be advised.
