CodRead was born in Lagos but in 2005 he left Nigeria to pursue a
modelling career in South Africa. He had started to make music
earlier, in 1999 under the pseudonym Boldman and then as part of a
group known as Beat Block Boys.

The artiste was nominated at the last Nigeria Music Video Awards for
his video ‘Patricia’ ft Buffalo Souljah. He is signed to 107 Records,
a subsidiary of Nova Entertainment.

CodRead, who is known by fans as ‘Hotter than fire’, has performed in
Johannesburg, Namibia and many other African countries alongside
Africa’s best – Jozi, MXO, HHP, Lira, Naeto C, Teargas, Sasha, liquid
dip, Buffalo Souljah, Proverb, Jah Seed and Taygrin. His music is a
fusion of Jamaican reggae/dance-hall and afro-pop.

After his collaboration with Buffalo Souljah in South Africa, He came
to town and has recorded a track with Terry G titled 'Go Crazy'. His
new single is titled 'Konko' featuring and produced by Maye Hunta.

KONKO features Maye Hunta, who produced the track. The track enjoys a
afrobeat feel reminiscence of a genre created by late legendary
musician/activist, Fela Kuti.
