Nokuthula Moilwa (stage name: Pinky Mcpurpley) is a 21 year old South African female rapper from Johannesburg born in Zimbabwe.
She
has always been involved in arts from the early age of 11 when she was
in theatre arts in a group called M.U.K.A where they did drama, dance,
poetry and choral music. She went on to play soccer at a senior level
for WITS ladies football club.
In high school she was involved in debate, public speaking and was part of the student representatives at school.
Her career as a hip hop artist began in November 2015.
She
has gone to release 3 singles of which have been played on vowfm,
hillbrow community radio and trultimate records in Zimbabwe and is
currently in the top 10 chart in Zimbabwe.
She
is currently working with spirit sound studios which is the home of the
legendary Benjamin dube, 808 Kick, DJ Rico, Lale, Mocchachino Ochi,
Xtype and Gsix who are Nigerian artists and a number of other artists.
She
has performed alongside A-Reece, Black Motion, Mocchachino Ochi, Jazz
Kid, DJ Condo and many more and is currently working on her EP which is
set to drop soon.
She
has performed at market @the fort alongside Deep House Love Affair, at
the gaymes annual event, Bf kitchen and pub and a various number of
clubs.
She
hopes to grow further and break any limits on the way and not only grow
as an artist but also as a person and in that also give back to the
community.
